This mid-pipe section is a chassis-specific MUSA programme for the Infiniti Q50 Sedan 3.0 V6 Turbo / RS400 2014+ Front Y-Pipe Collector Section — no universal tubing, no improvised hangers.

You get a harder edge at full throttle and a settled note at motorway speed rather than a constant boom. Reduced back pressure lets the turbochargers spool and clear more freely, which is where the throttle response comes from.
